4.2.20 | Client Alert – COVID-19 Update
On April 1, 2020 New Jersey Governor Murphy, the State Senate President and the Assembly Speaker announced their intention to postpone the state Individual Gross Income Tax filing and payment deadline and the Corporation Business Tax filing and payment deadline. Taxpayers have been anxiously awaiting the Governor’s signature on the Bill previously passed by the New Jersey Legislature. The Bill would extend the deadline no later than June 30, 2020. As of this time, the April 15, 2020 filing and payment deadlines have not been officially extended. Yet, the recent announcement indicates a July 15, 2020 extension. Stay tuned for clarifications and updates.
If you are due a refund, you are urged to file as soon as possible.
