CAA 2021 Provides Extended and Expanded Business Relief Options

Recognizing the ongoing national uncertainty as we enter a 2nd year with COVID-19, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA 2021) both extends and expands many of the business relief options provided under last year’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). CAA 2021 enhancements, among others, impact such vital areas as:

  • Employer retention tax credit and its interaction with PPP
  • Paid sick leave and family leave tax credits
