Berdon LLP Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Preparation, Safety, Continuity
3.10.20 | Client Alert
As we continue to keep a close eye on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the United States and the New York Metro Area, we are taking proactive steps to help ensure the safety of our employees and maintain security and work continuity for our clients. For all those that have been impacted directly by the virus, our thoughts are with you and we hope that you are following the directives of the CDC to speed along recovery and reduce the continued spread to those around you.
Currently, Berdon’s offices in Manhattan and Jericho, New York, are open for business and continue to be fully operational. With that said, if the outbreak results in closing one or both of our offices, we have a robust business continuity plan in place that will enable our professionals to work remotely and continue to provide you with the level of service you have come to expect from the Berdon Team.
Based on the current state of the outbreak, we are continuing to monitor communications from the CDC and various other federal and state organizations to help keep our employees, contacts and clients informed and safe. Some safety measures we have already implemented include:
- Limiting business travel and restricting a return to the office for 14-days after traveling outside the U.S.
- Providing sanitizing and other health protection services throughout our offices
- Reviewing and continually testing our technology practices to help ensure that our systems support a seamless transition should we have to shift to a fully remote workforce
We are confident that the steps we are taking will enable us to continue to successfully service our clients, their families and their businesses efficiently and effectively.
We encourage everyone to be as diligent as they can be in helping eliminate the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). For more information on prevention and treatment, check out the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website.
