NEW YORK—Accounting and advisory firm Berdon LLP earned the accolades of expert judges, including professionals in marketing, advertising, communications and professional services — winning three Marketing Achievement Awards (MAA) in the categories of:
- Integrated Branding Programs
- Business Development Initiative – Customized Sales Initiative or Approach
Integrated Branding Program
Berdon’s sports branding included the sponsorship of a number of regional teams, including the New York Mets, the New York Yankees and the New York Rangers. The firm’s physical ads were prominently seen throughout Citi Field and radio ads were heard by thousands of fans during the baseball and hockey seasons on WFAN, CBS Sports Radio & ESPN. The ballpark advertising resulted in the Berdon Brand being seen on local and national television, including YES, SNY and most notably ESPN, where the Berdon logo, behind Homeplate, was seen multiple times on their flagship program, SportsCenter. In addition, the integrated campaign included client entertainment events at Citi Field, Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden, which enabled Berdon professionals to give back to their clients by providing Client Appreciation experiences, such as a meet and greet with team legends, access to Mets and Yankees batting practice, and an exclusive trip to spring training.
Business Development Initiative
In an effort to empower Berdon staff and promote a culture of business development, the firm hosted Business Development Day, which is a half day of brief and interactive education and learning based events specifically designed to test the knowledge, as well as the professionals’ ability to retain important information about the firm, its service offerings and industry capabilities. An escape the room meets amazing race program was developed to provide competitive and interactive sessions that facilitated teamwork and reinforced a variety of firm messaging on topics such as growth, cross-selling, technical training and firm capabilities.
Berdon’s 2019 Real Estate Industry Executive Forum, one of the premiere events of its kind in the Metro New York Area, brought together the region’s leading real estate executives, business owners and investors for a morning of sharing action-focused best practices and market insights, while building new relationships to grow their businesses. The firm partnered with Bloomberg to get the exclusive opportunity of their Chief Economist and Real Estate Senior Analyst participating in our keynote fireside chat and followed up their presentation with a panel discussion featuring industry executives. After the event, Berdon made the recording of the event available to our clients and prospects through an email distribution and by posting it on our website, extending the value of the event.
The Association of Accounting Marketing (AAM) presented the awards at a virtual ceremony on June 3, 2020.

This year was Berdon’s most successful year at the AAM Awards and brings the firm’s award count to seven. Last year, the firm received the 2019 award for Events for its family friendly movie premiere event.
