Berdon co-sponsored and partner Seth Molod served as a judge at the 4.22.14 Pitch it in Person event where members of Efactor, an association of young entrepreneurs, competed to win funding for their startup ideas.
Held at the New York Institute of Technology’s auditorium in Manhattan, the event attracted more than 200 entrepreneurs, investors, and members of NYC’s startup community and featured a keynote address by Steve Rubel, Chief Content Strategist for Edelman. Contestants were given 5 minutes to make their best pitch and, after deliberation by Molod and his fellow judges, the award went to Vidar Brekke, co-founder of Meddle.
A host of Berdon professionals had an opportunity to meet with and answer questions accounting, tax, and management issues from startup attendees. Among the Berdon advisors on hand were partner Jeff Frisch along with Carly Baigelman, Anthony Graci, Christopher Imperiale, Smit Shah and Taylor Ulezalka.
