Receptionist- Long Island

Berdon's client is seeking a polished and professional individual for the role of Receptionist in their Long Island office.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you interact with all levels of the organization. You should be comfortable working independently and adjust smoothly to changing priorities to accomplish the most critical/sensitive issues on a timely basis.  Must be able to report to various managers, balance priorities, and take initiative. We’re seeking a positive individual who is always ready to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.



Your duties will include the following:

  • Relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls
  • Welcoming visitors — recording time and date of meetings in computer and appointment book
  • Setting up conference calls
  • Operating a paging system to relay in-house announcements or call individuals to the phone.
  • assisting with mailings, faxing, filing, and copying.


Minimum Education & Other Requirements

  • High school graduate, college a plus  
  • 3+ years of experience in a business office environment, preferably an accounting or law firm
  • Demonstrated PC and database management skills; excellent Excel and Word knowledge; able to troubleshoot basic technical issues
